I am interested in the construction, situation, and agency of images. Motivated by critical approaches to visual cultures and their relationship to systems of knowledge/ignorance and power/submission, I produce images with disrupted visual syntaxes to confront and force negotiation with images-in-context. I work across photography, print, drawing, design, and digital media, examining the image as a material artefact embedded in human behaviour. My work often returns to themes of societal dissonance and personal aporia.
